I’m trying my best to carve a cohesive narrative out of all this madness. Dann’s obsession with opposing forces of Action Figures mystifies me, yet I’m strangely drawn to this black hole of Nerdiness, an irresistible force of nature, from which not even light itself can escape.

On a side note I’ve been experimenting with different tools for inking some things I like some things I Dislike but in the next few weeks somethings might start to look different im trying to find something I’m happy with that doesn’t take too much more time.

I try to indulge Dann as often as possible, and when he began to wax rhapsodic about the Heroclix phenomenon, I tried my best to remain respectful. If you’re not familiar with the concept, it’s a luxurious blend of action-figure shame crossed with the vagina-repellent of tabletop gaming. But I’m not here to judge. I’m here to watch the carnage. Like NASCAR, but more inhalers and fewer boobs.

ERIC PART THREE – WHAT EVER THE HELL I CALLED IT

You know, there’s something about this plucky young robot that I think I like. I’m positive it’s not his looks. This perverse cyborg, all hunched over and clanging about…gross. But his wit, his charm, the personality behind the cold metal faceplate of this possible future killing machine is strangely familiar to me.

I think we’ll keep him.

I know having a robot running your website that OCCASIONALLY masturbates to Asian porn to self-power seems like a smart, cost-free way to keep a server maintained, but I’m here to tell you that’s it’s not all picnics and unicorn beards. He gambles online with company money, and I’m pretty sure I saw him touching the copier inappropriately last week. But I’m willing to let it slide, as long as he promises to keep the office couch SATURATED in scotch guard. That motor oil doesn’t get itself out, you know.

The FNG

Introducing a new character is something we haven’t done before, so we approached the situation with the kind of prudence you’d expect from two webcomic pioneers. We compiled MOUNTAINS of data from google analytics, site comments, and quotes from homeless people that scream at us on our way to the bag and bored offices. From all of this, we gleaned a few key points that helped us make informed decisions on what shape the ‘FNG’ would take:

1.He should be a robot
2. Asian Porn.

Aaaaaaaand that’s about it. Hmm. On second thought, it appears as if our criteria for perfecting Eric’s character may be a little skewed. Oh well. As long as he’s under warranty, and doesn’t get Cyborg-spooge on everything, I guess we can keep him.
